Sunday Update!

Happy Sunday Shark Families!

I just wanted to make sure a few things are on your radar for this week!

1. Unless you hear otherwise, plan to send your swimmers in their suits to practice each afternoon, as our first meet is fast approaching! (June 6th!) Hopefully the weather cooperates this week!

2. Last call for sponsorship opportunities for this season, as we need to finalize our new shirts (sponsor logos will be featured on our shirts). I have attached the sponsorship letter if you missed it. ;)

3. RMAL is currently holding training sessions!! If you are willing to help, but would feel more comfortable training with RMAL folks first, please sign up (it's free, of course)! See below: RMAL Volunteer Training Some positions require 1-time training each year (no cost). Our swim league provides this training. Ideally, we would like to have several people trained so as not to have the same people volunteer for the same positions at each event. For example, right now, we only have 2-3 strokes & turns judges. We need to provide 4 judges at each meet, so that means each judge has to work at each meet, some both halves. Thereโ€™s no room for absences or illness! Please consider attending one of the training dates. More information can be found in the link: https://www.swimrmal.org/_files/ugd/59561a_4e550a...

May 30 Tue 7-9pm โ€“ Brighton Green Clubhouse

June 1 Thu 7-9pm - Bon Air

4. Swimsuits -- We will have a rep from Virginia Swim Shop come take measurements Thurs, May 25th -- beginning at 3:30pm. Swimmers will need to be dry to try on the Swim Shop's sample suits to determine their size, so your swimmer will need to get there early enough to try suits on before getting in the water. This year we encourage all swimmers to wear a solid black bathing suit for swim meets. Girls should have a traditional one piece and boys should have jammers. Swimoutlet.com has a wide variety of suits from as low as $20-25 for both girls and boys. For a local option visit Virginia Swim Shop 12207 Gayton Road, Richmond, Virginia 23238.

Thanks & see you all tomorrow!
